Sound Sculptures
Interference is a sculptural loudspeaker broadcasting a poem, “The Domestic Sphere”. This poem was constructed by simultaneously feeding Charlie Chaplin’s “The Great Dictator” and Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech into digital dictation software, resulting in a wildly passionate yet confusingly ambitious speech that is read aloud in the computer’s native voice.
When Two Giants Meet is a kinetic sculpture representing two entities’ struggle for power and dominance. As they struggle against one another the violence and volume of their vibrations continually change in intensity.
